Elder
William Montgomery, a native of Texas,
was reared in the Tampa Bay, Florida area where he
attended the public schools. He furthered his education
at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky.
It was in Lexington, Kentucky that he met his wife,
the lovely Yvette Montgomery.
After receiving his formal education, Elder Montgomery
moved to Jamaica, New York and became affiliated with
the Tabernacle of Prayer for all people, Inc.
In 1983, he was saved under the ministry of the late
Apostle Johnnie Washington. While a member of the
Tabernacle of Prayer for all People, Inc., Elder Montgomery
attended the Tabernacle Bible Institute and served
as an engineer in the Tape and Radio Broadcast Ministry.
He answered the call into ministry in 1984 and began
a Street Ministry.
This dynamic young man of God moved back to Florida
in 1986. God had souls in Florida assigned to his
hands. He later joined the Sanford Tabernacle of Prayer,
Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida under the leadership
of Pastor Carrie Buie-Bryant. There, he became an
associate minister and worked faithfully by his Pastor’s
side.
Souls
were yet crying out. In 1988, Elder Montgomery, along
with his wife, started a prison ministry at the James
I. Montgomery Correction Institute in Jacksonville,
Florida. He has been ministering in the St. Johns
County Jail in St. Augustine, Florida since 1987.
In
1993, Elder Montgomery was ordained an elder. On August
29, 1997 he was commissioned to pastor in St. Augustine,
Florida. There, Elder Montgomery, along with his wife,
pastors Deliverance Time Ministry, Inc.
Pastor
Montgomery, dubbed as the “Preaching Machine”,
cries out against sin. He has a tremendous burden
for the lost, cast down and those that are captive
to Satan’s devices. He ministers under an anointed
mantle along with his wife. When ministering together,
they are called the “Tag Team”. Many souls
have been touched and blessed through this ministry.
Pastor
Montgomery is a wonderful husband and father. He and
his wife are the parents of six children and they
have six grandchildren. He is loved by many.
